Educational Support

Educational Support for Orphans and Vulnerable Children
Providing access to education is a crucial pillar of KCHEF’s mission. Since its establishment in 2002, KCHEF has been committed to supporting orphans and vulnerable children (OVCs) by offering scholarships, scholastic materials, and social-economic empowerment programs. Through this initiative, disadvantaged children gain opportunities to pursue primary, secondary, vocational, and university education, improving their future prospects and breaking cycles of poverty.

- KCHEF has supported over 2,000 orphans and vulnerable children since 2002.
- Currently, 195 OVCs receive formal education sponsorship.
- Alumni have formed an association contributing 3,000,000 UGX annually towards school fees.
- Over 400 graduates from the program, including 59 educationists, 21 engineers, 52 nurses/midwives, and 2 lawyers.
- Guardians receive parenting skills training, psychosocial support, and income-generating skills to sustain OVCs.
